About New York City Children's Theater (NYCCT)

New York City Children's Theater (NYCCT) is a nonprofit organization that creates original, entertaining, and enriching theater for young audiences and adults to enjoy together. Founded in 2001, NYCCT's mission is to inspire young people's imaginations and support social and emotional growth through original theatrical experiences on stage, in schools, and in the community. Over the past 27 years, NYCCT has served over 420,000 children and adults across all five boroughs and surrounding communities in the Tri-State area. By partnering with more than 550 elementary schools and homeless shelters, and providing subsidized tickets to over 120,000 students and families, NYCCT has increased arts accessibility for underserved communities in New York City. The organization produces three new shows per season, most of which take place at Theatre Row located in Midtown Manhattan, and every production offers two sensory-friendly performances.
